Shiny and pearlescent paper. This adds a wonderful look to tons of printables and you can get a lot of different colours from gold and silver to pinks and blues. I LOVE going to craft shows and seeing all the wonderful handmade creations that the stallholders have made. It always amazes me how creative people are, and the amount of variation available between the different stalls. Many of them focus on the stunning flowers that are available at this time of year. For a longer-lasting Spring craft project, try replacing the real flowers with artificial ones for a creation that you can bring out year-after-year. Many printables are in PDF format for a good reason. If they contain text or lineart then PDFs will offer higher quality prints and smaller file sizes. Running a craft session at your church can be a wonderful way to get the community involved and it’s a great bonding experience for you and your fellow worshippers.

One way to make your Easter crafts cheaper next year is to hit the shops just after the Bank Holiday weekend and snap up some clearance Easter decorations. I would prefer JPG files instead of PDF. Can I convert PDF printables to JPG? What if my scrapbooking software doesn't support PDF? For things like decorations or face masks, you can laminate them after your child has finished colouring them in, then cut them out as as normal. It will add a ton of extra strength to the printable and make it last much longer.

Creating handmade decorations and gifts with your children is a wonderful way to spend time together, and enjoy the real meaning of Easter.

As I mentioned earlier, I love it when I can save money with my Easter crafts – especially if I’m making something that will only last for one year, or something I will be giving away. However, I tend to prefer to create handmade cards myself rather than use an internet card making service, as not only is it more enjoyable for me, but the finished product is then totally unique. These craft projects celebrate the best of the Spring season, without being related to Easter or religion in any way. This collection of projects contains art projects that are slightly more advanced than the ones above, but they are all still suitable for children. You could make a funny Funky Pigeon card on your computer in just a couple of minutes, and get it printed and posted to the recipient by them, so you don’t have to worry about doing the postage yourself.

For modern celebrations, the Easter bunny is the wonderful creature who hides Easter eggs and treats around the garden or outside areas for children to find. Transparent paper. Being able to see through your printable is great fun, and if you print out smaller designs you can use your phone's torch to project them on to walls in the dark. It won't work as well as an actual projector, but it's still great fun. You could also try fixing your coloured-in printables to the window and letting the light shine through. Do you send cards to wish a “Happy Easter” to your loved ones? If so, do you tend to make the same style of card for everyone, or go more creative with lots of different designs? While filling in a home-made printable is great fun for kids, getting them to have a hand in creating them can be just as rewarding. It can really push their creativity and help with their computer literacy too. If you can, you could also ask your older children for ideas or help in creating them for the younger ones to enjoy - it's a fun way to get everyone involved. You don’t want to accidentally get your pricing wrong and sell something for less than it cost you to make!
