I haven’t had the privilege to smell the old/original formulation, so this is my review for the current one. Gardenia, one of my fave flowers married gracefully with green notes that're intense but fresh, not like the decaying leaves I get from Chanel 19, sorry to say. They are carried forth with Powdery Iris and bright carnation wrapped in Lime, and woods making this a very crisp and nasal fragrance at first application.

This one has many of my favorite notes so a mystery why the sum of its parts is a little underwhelming to me - thus the like vs love rating.Nevertheless, even though it is not my personal pick, I still think Organza a wonderful, unique, and timeless perfume. Honeysuckle, peony (peony done right like it is here is a treasure) they shine here w/ their tender girlish charm. I would categorize it under the classic floral oriental which is super stunning and amazingly beautiful to be used anytime, anywhere and any day. Early in, a veil of soft florals, as if caught aloft with warm currents of velvet soft wood, breeze by.

This is a Ladies fragrance for you guys, like me, who like to wear some of the women's fragrances, this one is daring, if you want to go with it. It’s what I always thought Oriental fragrance should smell like: spicy, semi-sweet, with a hint of flowers. Organza By Givenchy- Strong Floral and Long lasting-Loud and In Your Face at first, but after she's had a few drinks, she mellows to a sultry, purring, beautiful listener. I don't know why I waited so long to try it, I feel like I've missed out on a world of floral beauty. This is followed by the lingering memory of vanilla and iris, amber, mace and nutmeg and woods in the base.It grounds the florals with a refreshingly nutty alternative to traditional woody notes at this stage of development, and adds a cosy, autumnal vibe. Bear in mind the opening notes are quite strong but this comes alive after wearing on skin for an hour or two. Then the vanilla, amber, and cedar shine through and last long after the fragrance has become a skin scent.
